About Us

How We Started We are a group of individuals who, adversely affected by personal loss of our own, would like to turn that experience into something positive by helping put a smile on the faces of other children in need. Currently, we collect fabrics and turn them into Christmas stockings that are delivered to various organizations where children reside on a temporary basis. With help, we can increase our giving to include more facilities. Thus far, everything we have has been donated, the website content and hosting, and all the fabric used to make 125 stockings in 2004. In 2005, over 600 stockings and stocking stuffers were donated in 5 states. 2006 turned out to be a great year with over 1,000 stockings donated in 7 states. Christmas 2007 over 1200 stockings were distributed in the tri-state area. We fell a little short due to an ice storm that hit right after Thanksgiving.

There is no requirement for membership except the desire to help. Some areas we need volunteers are sewing, fabric donations, stocking stuffers, web assist, someone to collect donations from local businesses, accounting and toy sorters. Let us know what your talents are, and we will find something for you to do.

WE Were

created in 2004, by Felecia (Filly) Stinson who lost her son, Geno. Geno’s two children were helped by Children’s Miracle Network when there was difficulty with their births, So Filly felt that she would like to help children in a way that she was capable; sewing Christmas stockings.
