It Started with a Sewing Machine and a Dream
In 2004, a simple idea took shape — what if every child, regardless of their circumstances, could wake up to the joy of Christmas morning? With a sewing machine, a pile of fabric, and a heart full of determination, Give A Christmas was born.
That first year, 125 handmade Christmas stockings were carefully stitched, filled with gifts and comfort items, and delivered to children spending the holidays in hospitals, shelters, and difficult situations.
Word spread. Volunteers gathered. Churches, schools, businesses, and community members rallied around the mission. What began as one person's vision became a movement of thousands, united by a shared belief: every child deserves to feel loved at Christmas.
At our peak, more than 3,000 handmade stockings were created and delivered in a single season. Each stocking is unique, sewn by hand with care, and filled with age-appropriate gifts, hygiene items, comfort objects, and treats — a tangible reminder that someone is thinking of them.
Every Stocking is Handmade with Love
There are no factory lines here. Every single stocking that leaves our hands is sewn by a real person — a grandmother, a teenager, a church group, a first-time sewer — who has poured their care into every stitch.
We believe that when a child opens a handmade stocking, they can feel the difference. They hold something that was made just for them, with intention and with love. That's the heart of Give A Christmas.

The Beginning

Word spread, and volunteers from churches, schools, and community groups began joining the mission — sewing, filling, and delivering stockings.

Over 1,200 stockings reached children in hospitals, shelters, and homes across the community, each one lovingly handmade.
Expanding Reach
Partnerships with hospitals, agencies, and schools grew. Over 2,000 stockings were delivered, and the volunteer family expanded.
Over 3,000 Stockings
A record-breaking year — more than 3,000 handmade stockings were stitched, filled with gifts, and placed in the hands of children who needed them most.
20+ Years of Love
